Unsatisfactory service and theft

We ordered bricks, sand and cement from Builders Warehouse Gleneagles in two parts on Thursday 3 September and Saturday 5 September. We were promised that the order was going to be delivered on Friday 11th first thing in the morning.

We were told that builders could only supply 939 bricks and not 1000.

I had guys on site waiting for the order the whole day. My wife couldn't get through to builders as no one answered the phone.

So she then drove down to the store as we are not even 5kms away from builders and was told that the truck was on its way.

It then became 4pm and we were told that half the order had been delivered. Nothing had arrived. At 4:30pm, we were told that the truck broke down.

We were then promised again that the order would come the next day at 8am as they had no other deliveries. In which my wife got a call at 7am saying that it would be here in 2 hours.

I went down to builders as i had to get some other stuff and the credit for the 61 bricks.

I spoke to the manager which told me that the truck was in linmeyer on another delivery and was going to deliver our stuff as soon as it got back.

The order only arrived at around 1pm. Another half a day gone.

It tool Builders one and half days to deliver the material, and i was told multiple lies in regards to where our order was.

One guy says the truck broke down. The manager says that the truck didnt brake down but couldnt make it up a hill as it was overloaded?

I think overloading a truck is not a good idea anyways.

This is the 2nd order we have asked builders to deliver and have once again messed it up.

Further more, i lent the builder's employees my side cutter to cut their straps in order for us to get to the bricks.

They took my cutters with them back to builders.

I then called the manager that they had by mistakenly taken my cutters, and in which he said that he was in front of them and was told that they had it.

He said he would take them and bring them to me after work.

Later at 5pm i asked him if he was coming and he said that the truck had to go deliver another order, even though i was told that builders dont deliver on weekends.

He said that he would come Sunday morning with my cutters.

I called on Sunday and was told that the manager was not at work. Another guy called me back saying that the manager in question was going to leave home and come return my cutters.

I am still wating for this to happen.

I feel that i keep being **** to by builder's employees.

Hi Warren

I'm so sorry for the experience you've had with regards to your deliveries.

This kind of service is completely unacceptable and is something that I will be escalating. Can you please private message me your invoice number as well as your email address and contact number so that we can get in touch with you?

Kind Regards
Kurt
