Whenever I shop at Builders Warehouse I triple check the prices at the till cause you can loose a lot money if you do not pay serious attention. Now on top of this I realize they have the worst client services ever! Here is the story and tomorrow we are taking a legal action:
My partner bought several items from Builders Warehouse on the 9th of September afternoon including 1x DULUX GLOSS ENAMEL 6LT BRILL WHT. On his drive back to home after dropping off the other White PVA at the business and visiting the gym nearby at Waterfall disaster happened. While he was driving the 6 litre tin of white enamel that was tucked on the floor behind the drivers seat tilted (not rolled!, tilted only) and spilled its contents onto the floor of the car! Long story short it was a disaster and took several hours to clean and here is the list of the items ruined: • The car interior is basically ruined by the paint which has seeped into and under the carpets and into the upholstery of both front seats. • It has ruined the clothes he was wearing – jeans and shirt. • His gym bag has paint on it. • Three hats in the car were ruined – one rimmed, one cap and a beanie. • Sun visor for the windshield that was on the floor behing the front seats was also covered in paint. • We used 2x 5 litres of turps trying to clean the mess and himself. • And we are left with a half full tin of paint just bought. What happened afterwards is more interesting and we have pictures to prove. Herewith my partner’s words “Upon visiting the store and meeting with Ayanda Komani and explaining my situation we went to the paint aisle where the enamel paint I bought is displayed. After placing one of the tins of that paint displayed at the front of the shelf onto the floor in that aisle, it was tilted so that it fell over onto its side. The tin lid opened and splashed the contents onto the floor of the aisle in a replica of exactly what happened to me on my drive home.”
And after countless emails and phone calls we are still waiting for them to reply and act. Shocking! Or not….
