STAR EMPLOYEE - UNSURPASSED COMPASSION AND INTEGRITY - REUBEN KGOSIMANG

I am so impressed with the type of honesty and going the extra mile of an employee at Builders Warehouse - Northriding branch. The employee's name is REUBEN KGOSIMANG. He is the most honest and kind person I have met yet in my life.

About 3 weeks ago I mistakenly left my wallet at one of the checkout counters at this store. It was on a Saturday. On the Monday, I went back to the store and enquired at the security counter if they had found a wallet on Saturday. I was not sure whether I had left it at this store or somewhere else or whether it had been ****** elsewhere while I wasn't looking. I just suspected there might be a chance it was at this store that I had lost the wallet. So I didn't question it when the security guard at the security counter went through their lost and found book and could not see any records of a wallet having been found over that weekend.

Three weeks later I get a call from my bank notifying me that a Reuben from Builders warehouse had called them that the store had my wallet! So Reuben, after realising that the owner of the wallet had not come to collect it after three whole weeks, had the creativity and goodwill to call my bank as there were no other personal details in my wallet. The bank tracked my cellphone number and called me. Amazing!!!

The cherry on top is that all the contents of my wallet were still intact, the R750 and some coins were all there to the cent!!!

It is almost surreal that this could happen in this day and age and in Johannesburg.

Reuben certainly has a heart of gold. I am truly amazed.

It is such a pity that Builders Warehouse has a policy that a customer cannot reward an employee. I feel so indebted to him.

Reuben, I am grateful. May all your desires be fulfilled this very year still!!! KUDOS TO YOU. YOU ARE ONE OF A VERY RARE KIND!
