So called Warrentee

Bought a Ryobi cordless drill at Centurion Branch. After 20 months battery dies. Took this in to Albert Radebe this morning. (Store Manager or so he says).

They claim the unit was ******* to start off with and a new model is available.

Suggested I drive at my own cost to Ryobi for repairs.

They then phoned Ryobi and passed the problem over to me.

Craig who ever this is responded that the warrentee only covers manufacturing defects. They are prepared to repair the unit and charge me for repairs. As the unit was charged and placed on the drill for 3 days which apparently damages the battery. I have never heard of this before.

Builders Warehouse now refuses to honor the warrentee and simply steps aside as the retailer of this aparrent defective product.

This is nothing but *****.
