Sell defective products and take no responsibility

I bought a Topline Drain Cleaning Rods (12 Piece) from builders express Norwood. Tried using it, and 5 of 9 rods broke, leaving 4 rods and an end piece stuck in my drain. Now my drain is blocked and builders takes no responsibility. It's my problem now to get a plumber to somehow pull the broken rods out of my drain. Then I must get the broken product to builders and then they will investigate. and IF it's deemed faulty, all they will do is refund me for the product I bought. It's not good enough builders. Don't sell defective products. And if you do, take responsibility for it.
