Ryobi generator failure within Warranty

I bought a Ryobi Petrol generator on the 18th of Jan 2021. We experienced ongoing power failures the last week in the east of Pretoria and I re**** on the generator to assist me during the period. This morning the generator stopped working and I took it to Builders Warehouse Atterbury for assistance. I was told the generator had to be send in to Ryobi to asses the issues. The lady said Ryobi collects faulty machines once a week from them. Currently we still have load shedding and I'm stuck in the dark with small children below a year.

I have a number of Concerns: 1. Firstly I bought the generator from Builders warehouse and not Ryobi and I expect them to solve my immediate problem and not pass the bucket. 2. What do Builders expect me to do in the meantime, buy another generator? 3. Is this the type of customer service that Builders as a business deliver on after service? If yes I will never support them again.

I'm really put in a difficult situation as a result of poor customer service and not careing about after service. I will definitely reconsider a different store and product with my next purchase.
