Refuse to exchang broken kenwood pedestal fan IF550 40 cm

Bad customer service. I purchased a kenwood fan from Builders Potchefstroom it stop working after one year and 4 days. On returning the item , the manager authorized the return. I picked a alternative fan with the same value. On arrival at thr till point i was told they cant do the swop as the kenwood warranty has expired 1 year . In the kenwood instruction manual and box there is no indication of the period of warranty. Google shows it to be 2 years warranty.. Builders chose 1 year warranty ? They refused to do a swop. I was met with rude builders staff , indicating they wil call me back after they spoken with kenwood , no one of builders phoned me. The very next day i whent back to builders Potch. Only to find out nothing was done. I was then told the store manager will phone me . Till today he never phoned me. I left the store an phoned builders hq. complaints dept and got a rude answere from a manager that i must proof the waranty period. Builders never mentioned any 1 year warranty or doc proof of that on purchase date. I then whent back to the store to collect my broken fan. Broke after a year and four days. I wil in my life never ever buy any thing from Builders due to this incident , rude staff , bad manager with attitude.
