Price not honored, terrible attitude of manager

I bought a window handle which was priced at R58.00, when I got to the till it scanned at R59.00. I brought this to the tellers attention and she directed me to a sign laying flat on the cashier table when mentioned there will be a price difference because of the VAT change. I asked to speak to the manager, as this sign was not visible anywhere else. I brought to his attention that according to CPA I should be sold an item at the cheapest price it is displayed as. The manager refused to give me the item at the marked price. Another customer present advised him that my view is correct and that the manager is given me a reason to not buy at the store, the managers response was, "That's fine". I am for one disgusted at his response and attitude, and for two would not be so hurt, had it not being for the fact that I in the past few weeks have purchased items valued in the thousands of Rands from this very builders.
