Price difference at Builders Warehouse

I visited builders in Emalahleni last weekend. Saw a vacuum cleaner on a shelf with a price and an assistant who explained the machine. When I told him to load the machine so I can pay he said he will just check the price against the barcode. It happened that the vacuums were on a shelf displaying a price that did not match the barcode of the item I asked to be loaded. I said if that's the price thats the price I am to be charged. The store attendant went to find the manager and returned to tell me the manager said he wont give the item at that price. I asked to talk to said manager(Orlando)but he was nowhere to be found in the store anymore. Help me here "! bSection 23 of the CPA (dealing with displayed prices )provides that 'a retailer must not display any goods for sale without displaying to the consumer a price in relation to those goods' and 'a supplier must not require a consumer to pay a price for any goods higher than the displayed price for those goods. Did this law change?
