Praise for Mica and Disapproval for builders

A week ago I went to Mica and bought a Bosch blue multi scanner. The price on the shelf was R1199, when I got to the till it rang up as R1699. The manager confirmed and no questions asked changed the price down to R1199 and I was completely satisfied and very happy with the service and the professional manner in which the issue was dealt with considering it was a R500 difference.<br> <br> One week later I go to Builders Warehouse fourways and get the complete opposite.<br> <br> I tried to purchase a set of Gedore spanners that had the price on the shelf as R599.90<br> When the spanners were rung up they came to R1129.00<br> The cashier attempted to assist and fetched the tag and confirmed that this was the tag that was for the spinners as I had seen.<br> <br> Then the supervisor stopped the sale and called the hand tool sales person. After waiting a good 10 minutes at the till he finally turned up and then said that the bar code was wrong and it had been mislabeled. He also said he can't sell it to me at that price. So instead of sorting out the query he turned me away.<br> <br> I have spend tens of thousands with builders but from this point I will only shop at Mica. The service is night and day.
