Poor Service & incorrect pricing on shelf

I visited Builders warehouse in Valley View shopping center in Noordheuwel late last week.

Went in to purchase a few items, but mainly to purchase a socket set.

I found the set i was looking for and the Price was R275 for 11 piece set which i took, when reaching the till it rang up at R1000. I said it has incorrect i followed the lady from the till to the item on the shelf and the price was R275 as advertised on the shelf.

She then called a manager and he came to inform me i was wrong and that they had made a mistake on the merchandising and they will give me a 10% discount on the R1000.

He then disappeared i followed him to find him taking to two other gentleman, one of the men then told me i have to understand that from a business point of view, they cannot give it to me at that price. It clearly states for what ever price that was on the shelf is what i pay for that item.

I am not interested if Builders staff made a mistake its not my problem.

Due to this i left my entire basket of shopping and walked out, i don't appreciate it as i buy from Builders often for my supplies for work which i will not being doing anymore.

I must say this Builders branch is very slow, under staffed and arrogant.

If you choose to keep me as a client or to loose me to a competitor i would like to see the effort from your side to retain my business.
