Poor service and completely unacceptable - Builders Express Sunward Park.

Completely unacceptable from Builders Express in Sunward Park.

I always support and buy all my stuff at 1 of 3 builders warehouse.

Recently bought new lights for a patio just before lockdown started end of March 2020. We fitted these lights and 1 light was not working. I usually have no problem in returning and taking a new one however when I arrived at Builders Express sunward park on the 12th December I was informed by Lerato and Abraham that the light was opened and due to this I forfeit my 2year warrantee.

There is glue inside which has been broken off and we had a look at this inside the builders warehouse hence it looked like the light was opened. I see no point why anyone would want to open the light there.

Not only did they say they will send it to the supplier and get feedback if they can refund or exchange, I had to purchase the same light from them at double the cost because the pricing has gone up according to them.

I have not received any feedback from this branch or anyone on this matter after I was told it would take up to 7days. I expect a full refund on the light I had to purchase again at higher cost.
