Poor customer experience

I wanted to buy a vacuum cleaner and view online what they had and if they had stock. They showed 2 units in stock. When I got there the unit was not on the shelf, but a store clerk looked on their system for stock and confirmed they do have. After a long wait he told me the manager said they are counting stock at the back and I can not purchase it now, I have to return when they are done in 2 days. I went to talk to the manager as the unit I wanted is very expensive, he shrugged his shoulders and turned around. I find this is poor business management.
