Pathetic Slave Mentality at Builders Warehouse

Yesterday l went to builders warehouse in Edenvale, l asked them for a 30m roll of Hoop Iron. They told me its sold per meter, l then bought 30m and 20 harvey tiles.

I went outside to the loading bay and waited for my stock. 30mins later, my stock still didn't come. I asked, the security guard said they were fetching it. I went back into the store and bought some more item, came back and still no stock.

At around 45mins l went into the store and found my harvey tiles on the entrance, noone loading them. I pushed the trolley myself and went to load them into my trailer, then went back to check on my hoop iron, l found the guys only starting to measure it and then l helped them cut what l thought was hoop iron. Rolled it myself and carried it to the car.

When l got to my site, l was told it wasn't hoop iron. So l checked on the internet, builders warehouse website, leroy Merlin and other sites and confirmed that indeed that was not hoop iron which l had been given.

Drove back to the store and was treated like **** at returns and then sent into the store where l met the rudest, most ******** individual called Joey, this guy wouldn't even hear me out, he said, the people responsible for the website had made a mistake and he wasn't going to take back the stock. As he was walking away from me, l asked him to take me to his manager, he refused and opted to calling him, he gave him half an explanation and after their chat, l was already on a call to their complaints Department with Thobani, *** to lodge a formal complaint.

Joey on the other hand just said to me, go to returns and get your money!!

The customer service is non-existing. There's no regard to time wasting or the fuel l used to go up and down.

I have not had anything further, from the store, the manager or the complaints Department.

The amount of money l have spent at Builders Warehouse should warrant a bit of some respect to me as a client.

The way l was treated was very dismissive and you could see how they were trying to push me over, they thought l was an ordinary black, one that accepts any kind of treatment.

I will not let this rest until l am given value for my money and time!!
