Pathetic

<p>Trying to find out if Builders Warehouse Newcastle sells perspex sheets per metre. A colleague of mine was answered by a consultant, who passed the call on to someone else (who had to finish a conversation with his friend first before assisting), who then passed the call on to someone else because none of these people seemed to know what perspex was. Long story short- he spoke to 5 (FIVE) different people in that shop and NOT ONE of them knew what perspex was! How can you work at a hardware store such as Builders Warehouse and not know what perspex is. It's a material widely used for various projects and home improvement! The worst part is that when my colleague asked to speak to the manager - the manager didn't even what it was either.</p> <p> </p> <p>Well to help you out a bit more after explaining it 6 times, I took this straight from the dictionary definition:</p> <p>Perspex<br />ˈpəːspɛks/Submit<br />nountrademark<br />solid transparent plastic made of polymethyl methacrylate (the same material as Plexiglas or Lucite).</p> <p>May I suggest next time you don't know what a customer is asking for or you're not sure what it is, ask them to hold the line for a minute or two, pull out your phone and Google the item they're looking for so that you don't sound like a complete fool. At least you'll know whether you sell it or not and can actually assist the customer by giving them a straight forward answer.</p>
