Paint Spill
In January 2014, I bought a 1l paint tin. When I arrived at my destination, I lifted the tin from the floor of the car, the lid popped off and spilled all over my clothes. I was covered in paint.

I returned to Builders Warehouse covered in paint and they replaced the tin. Ben Britz, the manager, asked for my clothes and asked me to supply a quote for the replacement of my clothing. I dropped off the clothing and a replacement quote.

After months of constant contact, visits to the shop, phone calls and excuses, like the petty cash administrator was fired so the claim can not be paid out now.

Then Ben Britz got transferred to Rivonia/Mocambique branch and my case was handed to Andre' Zeelie, the new manager of Fourways Builders Warehouse.

After Andre' looked into my case,he informed me that I will not be paid for the damaged clothes because of the long lapse in time since the incident.

I find this unacceptable because I followed their procedure and they are the ones who dragged their feet.
