Paint section assistant

Once again bought paint there. I specifically told the assistant I'm painting steel as in trellis. Mixes my color, I get home and trusting them start painting! It won't paint, so I check! It's for interior walls???? Do they grab any person from the streets and make them assistance in the paint section?
