PAID FOR PURCHASE, NO DELIVERY AND NOW OUT OF STOCK

On 24 Nov 2017 I bought an item online from Builders Warehouse. It indicated that Northriding Branch had 2 in stock. I paid online for it and the invoice indicated that it would be delivered. No delivery took place and 10 days after I bought the item I had to phone the call centre 4 times to eventually be told that the branch is out of stock. The telephone number for the branch is the same call centre and they informed me that I couldn't phone the branch directly. It is not possible to purchase an item if it is not in stock and there can be no excuse for not providing and delivering the item. There are 3 branches in SA that has 1 of the items each, however, I have not been able to get hold of anyone that will confirm that they will deliver the items asap. It is unacceptable for this to happen, especially if the item bought is a Chrismas present.
