No Stock - Defective Stock

My daughter has just moved and wanted a specific Gazebo supp**** by Builders. I went to the store in Northriding only to be told that they did not have any stock. On questioning it was ascertained that a delivery would be made the next Wednesday. I decided to wait. The following Thursday I went back to Northriding only to be told that there was no stock. I decided to go to Strubens Valley. They too had no stock but told me that Four Ways had stock. I drove to 4 ways, paid and went to collect. The box was damaged and I refused to take it. After a while, we checked that all the pieces were there and I took the Gazebo. When we tried to assemble the Gazebo, we found out that it was defective. Upon returning the Gazebo I was told to wait, the manager has to authorise. 10 minutes later he came sauntering in. By this time I was already speaking to someone at head office who could not hear me. The person at head office then phoned the manager, who he also could not hear. An hour later I left with my refund, but what about my time and travelling? Last time EVER.

Hi Peter,

I appreciate you bringing this to our attention.

I'm sorry for the experience you had with trying to get the Gazebo for your daughter.

I will be looking into the matter and will get back to you.

Regards
Suhayfa Gabriels

How dare you phone me and tell me that I am at fault and that the stock is not defective. You have not even seen the stock. I challenged Richard to erect the Gazebo this morning in front of the staff, and he did not. How can he now turn around and say that the stock is not defective? It is indicative of the shocking levels of service within your business when your managers are so ***********. I cannot believe that you would blame a customer for your shortcomings.
