Horrible service experience

What a terrible experience at builders warehouse Cape Gate. My wife and I bought a gold air fan and decided to return the product due to poor construction. At the returns counter a lady by the name of Constance was very rude to us saying we can't just return things like we want to. She obviously has no knowledge of how the consumer protection act works and even **** to my wife at one stage. She also refused to check that the product is in fact in a returnable condition. She eventually turned her back on us and took a phone call. We then recieved assistance from another employee who gave the go ahead for us to receive our voucher to the value of the product. I'll be spending that money on smaller items at another store just to use the money but I'll rather shop at Brights or makro from now on.
