Horrible Experience

Worse service at Builders Warehouse absoloutely terrible from Management to the staff in the deliveries section . I purchased pine par aswell a few other items .

A coloured gentleman assisted me in the building material department with no issues , although I took the incorrect item .He explaned that the dispatch department will assist me with correct item .I took a plank to enquire if it was the correct one when I ask the security where must I go she just looked at me (a lady with blue uniform). The security guard insisted I must go before I cut the item , the more I asked why she became defensive as I said that this is not how the procedure was at any Builders Warehouse . A second lady ( Wendy was written on a band around her head) came to assist but she already had an attitude took me find the correct item , she did not even relpy when I enquired about their procedures. I told Wendy that I will report the matter she said its fine "Ntate"in sotho.

After which I paid for the item and proceeded back to the dispatch section asked the black lady whom was wearing the blue uniform must I come to her again she blatenly ignored me I forced she must answer me but she ignored same as the security . I was fuming by now because I was in the store for longer then 30 min already. The security was arguing with after I told her she does not know how to work with the public. I told she was rude of she subsaquently said 'You are rude and she can be rude like I was so she continued she had bad horrible attitude , there are so many unemployed people who have better etiquette then hers she must humble herself towards a client not challenge . I went to look for a Manager of when I stood by the building department of which a white gentleman stood across busy on a call asking for staff to go to a till to assist clients , he did not even ask if I was helped and left , I stood for a bit then saw him assisting another client I went over too him. Even then whilist assisting the other client with his query did not even ask or say he will be with me .A old white gentlemen came over interupted the manager (Strauss) that he needs to be assisted then dealt with the previous client and went off without even asking once if I was helped . When the manager returned I asked if he was s manager of which he said he will come back. I stood for a while and decided to leave when he returned I inforned him of everything which he promised to take action . I told the manager that Im going report it on hellopeter of which he rep**** "there no problem if I do it , he will follow due process and view footage ". I not happy because they should inform their clients with clearly marked signage of their internal procedures with regards to boards and pine planks at the other Builders stores it does not work the way it is done at the store , where must a person pay for a item in a hardware store before you are assisted . I have been a client at Builders for over 3 years in Queenstown not once did I have such a experience.
