Fired Earth Paints Dont Work

I've put positive compliments about Builders Express in Umhlanga on HP before. So it's sad that I'm now complaining. On 19th April I bought Fired Earth Rust Paint & followed the instructions exactly for a perfect rust finish. Instead the finish was light grey with rust speckles. Not what the tin said. Builders Express told me to contact the Fired Earth rep. I called the paint rep (Raven) & sent photos of the grey paint to his boss Corne. After more than a week waiting Corne called to ask how I app**** the product. I told him I followed the instructions exactly. After a another week I called Corne who told me I must wait half an hour between coats. I told him that I did & he said he'd come back to me. On 16th May I sent a message that the grey finish is not acceptable. After a MONTH of no response I sent a message on 12th June. Corne rep**** the grey effect is normal! What! Well if that's right then this product is clearly misleading. Builders Express simply passed the buck to Fired Earth on a sub standard product that Builders Express profit from. I will not buy paint from Builders Express or Massmart as they supply inferior products like Fired Earth & will shop at Mica in future.
