False Product information

Good Day, On 06/09/2019 I bought a geyser for my pensioner father at the Builders Warehouse store Gape Gate, Brackenfell, Cape Town. A sales assistant by the name of JP helped me & advised I take the Kwikot Superline 150L geyser as it comes with a 10yr guarantee, whereas most geyser's only have a 5yr guarantee.

I also knew the very same geyser was at another shop "One Stop Plumb Shop" in Brackenfell for R2799 with a 5yr guarantee.

So naturally I bought the one at Builders Warehouse, because i've been told for R350 more I could have double the years on my guarantee.

After the geyser has been installed, I went back to Builders Warehouse on Monday 09/09/2019 to confirm the guarantee & spoke to a manager Mr Ronnie Lemon to ask for proof of the 10yr guarantee, only to then find out it only comes with a 5yr guarantee.

So I paid R350 more for a geyser based on false product info I received from JP (sales assistant). Mr Ronnie Lemon seems to be ignoring my complaint & doesn't seem to want to resolve this issue in any way.

Also, it was purchased for my pensioner father who only receives a government grant. So naturally we would have bought it at the other place for R2799, had we known the guarantee was the same.
