Excellent service for repairing device bought at Builder Warehouse

I wish to thank these companies, Builder Warehouse Centurion, Gizzu and Syntech workshop Johannesburg for the excellent service.

I bought a Gizzu Challenger Pro 1120W UPS Power GPS1100U during December 2023 with a surprise discount from initial price of R17000 to R13000. Apparently the cashier has issues with their system. It appeared the device was not registered properly (bar code not matching the device and the price).

Eventually I was very happy and during the loadshedding this device really paid off during that time.

During usage, it worked well, but later since August 2024 the unit switched off when it was unplugged. Usually such power units are supposed to stay on.

It can charge as usual and it can power my other devices without any issues. But eventually that worked only when the power unit is plugged in.

I brought the unit back to Builder warehouse at Centurion during November 2024. That was within 12 month warranty.

Service centre Syntech in Johannesburg repaired the device during December 2024 and finalized that repair work during January 2025.

That Service Centre agreed the power is defective and completed the work.

I collected the that unit from Builder warehouse during May 2025. The repair did not cost me anything despite repair actions were done after warranty expiry date. However I returned the device within the warranty period, assuming I will pay for service and parts.

I wish to thank Builder Warehouse Centurion and Gizzu and Syntech repair workshop for the excellent service.

The device has been used without any problems since.
