Don't buy paint at Builders Warehouse The Glen!

Worst experience ever as a first time paint buyer at Builders Warehouse!

As a first time paint purchaser I found that the staff at the Glen Builders Warehouse were helpful and seemed fairly informative. However once we purchased our paint we experienced otherwise.

We were first told that we did not need any primer paint for our walls. So after spending a whole day painting our walls and using 10L + of paint we had to go back to Builders Warehouse and ask why the second coat of paint was removing the first coat... We spoke to another staff member and he was VERY helpful, and assisted us in choosing the best primer for the walls.

While we were speaking to this staff member we got a 1L paint can that was on "special" and chose a specific color that we wanted. We went home app**** the color and LOVED it! However, we ran out of paint and had to get more... We returned to Builders the following day and got another tin of paint of which Builders helped us match the color we bought previously.

When I got back to the house to apply the new tin of paint we easily saw that the colors we not the same at all. So I went back to Builders 3 days later (My third trip) to get the correct color. Again the staff member that assisted us was awesome and matched the color brilliantly.

The problem came in when we went to the till with the tin of paint. We were superposed to just scan the tin of paint and go home, however, the price had nearly doubled as the special was no longer available. The problem I have is that I purchased a tin of paint and Builders Warehouse got my color wrong, When I went back and asked them to correct it they wanted to charge me for the price of 2 tins of paint?!

The manager was useless. He was no help at all and said to me that "It's not my problem, it's head office that deals with the prices not me, so go and complain to them." He did not even have the decency to speak to me directly, he was speaking to me through one of the staff members that fall under him.

I would rather go and spend 3x the price on paint at any other paint outlet than deal with the Glen branch EVER AGAIN! And that is exactly what we did. As a first time paint buyer the best experience I've had so Far was at Jack's Paint in Brackenhurst.
