Don't Buy From Builders If You Stay In Outlying Area!

My son is interested in carpentry and wanted a router kit. He saw one advertised at Builders Warehouse, but the nearest branch to us is 150 km away. We decided to buy it for him as a present and made the trip. Great was his excitement when we handed it to him, but when he opened it, we noticed that one of the plastic components was cracked. I took photo's and phoned Builders customer care and was informed that "company policy" is that it must be exchange within 7 days. I told the person that I will be near a builders not in the next month, but the only response I got is "Sir , company policy say that you must return in 7 days". I asked him about quality checks, but was told that it is the manufacturer's duty and not theirs. He didn't care about me as a customer. So, they sold broken product, but don't care about the customer that did the effort to buy and support them. Be very careful to buy from a Builders if you live in outlying areas. They don't care.

The broken part was replaced by Ryobi. I had to pay for the courier.
