Defective ryobi hammer drill EB1500

I had purchased a ryobi hammer drill from builders Express umhlanger the crescent on the 19/07/2020, whilst using the item to remove tiles the product became faulty. It started to slip out of hammer and go back into drill. In less than 24hours of purchase I went back to the store to ask for a replacement product to complete the outstanding work. I was informed by the sales consultant that they have to send the product in for assessment before they can take further steps, in the mean time I must be without my product with work that will be standing. They couldn't guarantee me a deadline as to when I'll get feedback, I was even asked if I could take the product to the device agent, unacceptable customer service from builders Express.

Good day Athena,

On the 20th July 2020 at approximately 13H42 I received a call from Builders Express umhlanga crescent store informing me the item was repaired and that its ready for collection.

I refuse to take back the item that has been repaired, if was not faulty why was it repaired? The drill was less than 24HR old.

Today 21st july 2020 at approximately 11H30 I received a call from yourlls customer service agents with feedback explaining why the item had to be sent in for assessment, I explained to her the call I received from the previous day and what was spoken to me and in doing so I said I'll not except a repaired item but would rather prefer a refund.

She again called me at approximately 16H13 to say she got fed back from the store saying I'll not be getting a refund for the item as they got feedback from the supplyer saying there is no fault on the item.

The statement made that there is no fault on the item makes me out to be a **** and that went through all this trouble for nothing. I have not been using power tools yesterday I'm well aware on how they should work and operate.

I'm willing to accept a new drill as that's the solution I am putting forward to Builders.

Awaiting ur response

Kind regards,
Nayan Bhana
