Defamation - Norwood Branch

Today, 28th February at 4:15pm - Invoice No S***, I was served by a Cashier called Abigail Dibakoane.

I bought two glues and a colddrink and R850 prepeaid electricity.

I paid with my RCS card ( as I have done every month for the past 5 years ) and the cashier quickly pushed passed me and cancelled the transaction.

She then tells me it’s a rule that you cannot buy electricity if you are paying with RCS. I explained to her that I have been doing this for a very long time, so she goes off to the manager, Elizabeth and comes back and says it’s a new rule. I then ask to speak to the manager and to show me where this “new rule” is?

Elizabeth stands about 5 feet away from me with another staff member with her hands on her hips and raises an eyebrow at me and won’t answer me. After much deliberation they finally accept the RCS payment.

I am actually very disgusted by this as well as Elizabeth’s rude behaviour towards me! She made me feel like a piece of trash and a ********!

I had my son with me and was PUBLICLY EMBARRASSED by Elizabeth and the Cashier!

I want a written apology from both of them as well as knowing that I will NEVER set foot into that store again!

Obviously Builders is quite comfortable with losing paying customers. I have taken this to social media and want to take this as far as possible - I want regional manager intervention! You can check camera footage to see the body language of this so called manager who does not deserve to be in this position! I don’t know the calibre of people you are promoting but a poor choice was made with an individual who made me feel like trash and that she was better than me in every way possible.

I was told I would receive a call within the hour. It is 18:38 now and I have STILL not received a call as promised when I called your head office today.

I want answers and action immediately! I will take my business elsewhere and make sure the whole community is aware of this disgraceful behaviour from a MANAGER!
