Confusion and breakdown in systems

In-store experience at Builders (Constantiaberg) was shocking. The only reason why I'm giving this a 2-star rating is because I was helped by a really kind and understanding individual, but the lack of assistance prior, the difficulty in finding the right product vs the displayed product and the general lack of information in general, was shocking. The manager of the power tools section needs to seriously have a look at his/her department.

After finally figuring out whats what and realising that there was no stock, the above-mentioned very helpful gentleman assisted me with an alternative product, which I was happy to go with, however, I had to take the display unit as it was the last one. I approached the store manager for a discount, considering the unit I was buying was not quite new and was told that it was already marked down to "X" amount, sounded like a fair deal and was happy to go ahead, but when it was rung up at till, it was over R1000 more that what I was told.

We call the manager back, "no sorry we gave you the price for the wrong item", Ok, but that price sounds good I say, so let me take that the other item rather. "sorry, no stock"

You think spending 6k on power tools + being mucked about, and having my time wasted would get me some sort of additional discount or something.

No a great experience at all. If im spending that amount of money, I want to feel good about it.
