Click n Collect Nightmare

Ordered a cordless saw and blade from Builders North Riding. Received the SMS for collection. I arrived at Builders just before 5pm, I went to the collections area on the end. The guard refused to get up and open the gate, I waited at the half-way open gate for about 5 min while Builders staff were on their way home.

I ended up going and parking at the store entrance and walked to the collections area, only to be greeted by an empty desk. There were 5 other Builders staff around me. None of them acknowledged my presence at the collections counter. 3 of them were in Sales so the collections side was not their concern, the other 2 guys behind me at the info desk ignored me when I went to them.

After waiting 10 min for the collections guy to come back (I assumed he went to get something from the shelves and place it in the collections holding area), I then called the Builders call center. The agent got the manager of the store to assist me after the 5 min call.

The manager Moses, said that the collections guy was based on the other end, by the Contractors counter and he couldn't see me waiting at the Collections counter.

None of the staff at Builders were willing to help at any point in my visit.

I will definitely be purchasing everything from Leroy Merlin Fourways from now on. Builders has enjoyed its monopoly for far too long & their customer service is proof of this.
