Check that you are not being overcharged

My last 2 shopping experiences came up with the same problem. The price on the shelves is completely different to what gets rung up at the tills. the 1st experince was a difference of over R200 and the manager claimed the merchandise was placed on the wrong shelf but could not find the right shelf with correct price for me. He told me I need to check the barcode number. In order to do this I would have had to go on my knees with a magnifying glass to check if barcode number was the same. Yesterday I had to unfortunately return to the store as they are the only stockist of small plastic crayons. There were two rows of these crayons hanging on a merchandise hook clearly marked R30. At the till I was charged R50! R20 difference for a small box of crayons is a huge! showed the teller the place where the crayons were hanging and despite me being correct I got such bad attitude.<br> It can happen once but to happen twice in a row makes me really suspicious.
