Bad experience at Builders new market. As a part time contractor I have spent a huge amount of money at builders warehouse and always received good service until now. I approched builders new market on the 16/12/2019 for a quote and a time line for cutting and delivery on melamine board as I had a last min kitchen to install by the 23/12. I was insured by staff that they could cut and deliver by the morning of the 19/12 so I ordered and payed. My experience was not a good one, I spent my whole morning in builders. I first had to correct I friendly but not well trained guy who left out half of my cutting list I was then sent to a long que where I waited over 20min, then to the till with another long que, just to be told "we are off line you need to pay cash". After having to go to the bank and withdraw R5200 the cashier sent me back to the 20min que because I apparently needed a new qotation printed where after I had to rejoin the long till que again. I then arranged workers for the 19/12 because the board was supposed to be delivered by the morning of the 19th. By 11:00 nothing had arrived so I called in and was told it would be delivered by 14:00, by 14:30 I had still not received the order so I called in and was put on hold by a rude woman for about 30min and cut off this continued for the rest of the afternoon by 17:00 after paying my workers for waiting around for builders warehouse I came to the store in person just to get told my board will not be delivered, got no explanation or answers as to when it would be delivered, on investigation found out the board I payed R5200 for was on a truck outside with rain clouds looming above it getting ready to sleep outside with the possibility of rain! Why offer a service if you are unreliable? Who is now responsible for the loss of me having to pay workers and now having to pay them over time to get the job done on time? What if the board is damaged? Who is responsible for my reputation if I don't finish the job on time?
