Builders Warehouse Woodlands try to bully customers
I purchased a belt sander from Builders Warehouse in Woodlands on 23 September. After using it for a short while I noticed the belt lock nut did not secure the belt properly as a result it slipped and cut into the side of the machine. Within a day I returned the machine reporting the fault and requested a refund. The floor manager said he could not approve a refund as he had to first send the machine for an assessment. Ten days later the store called me to request to approve a quote for repair of R 280. This was to fit a new belt that cost R20. So I was expected to pay for a repair of an almost brand new machine and the to add insult to injury the belt was less than R20 and the rest was repairs cost. Diabolical. I told the store I will not accept a repair and stand by my original request for a refund of a faulty machine. Let’s see how long they take to revert back to me. Shame on them.
