Builders Warehouse - Online shopping

On two different occasions I have ordered items that were advertised on-line only to be told that there is no stock available. How can a business advertise on, on-line shopping that they have items on sale only to find they have no stock ??????? I don't understand it. They have lost a very loyal customer.
