On the 20th April 2020, I ordered: 1) Floormax FWM001 Wonder Mop and Bucket Set - R349 2) Genesis Minimax 80GMM Vacuum - R899

Their Online Interface confirmed that there was stock available for both items which is why they charged me a R500 Delivery fee for both items bringing my Total VAT incl: R1,748

On the 7th May 2020, I am told that the Floormax FWM001 Wonder Mop and Bucket Set is “OUT OF STOCK” and they can only deliver Vacuum and that they’ll refund me for the Floormax FWM001 Wonder Mop and Bucket Set.

On the 8th May 2020, Thembela Ngubande emails me a 5-page document that I have to complete in order to get my refund under cancellation order ***. I Just Want My Money Back as easily as you have taken it!! Thembela then told me, in no uncertain terms, that’s during this Corona Lockdown, if I don’t want to complete the document then I must go to their store and collect my money.

No bureaucracy to debit my account and get your money but an excessively complicated and unnecessary administrative procedure for me to get a refund.

Builders Warehouse Falsely makes items available on the Online Store in order **** consumers into releasing their funds and then later irritate customers with their admin processing stories. Is this in the hope that customers become so overwhelmed and annoyed that they give up.

Disgusting Service! So much trouble for R349. Absolutely pathetic, especially during these troubling times we all find ourselves in.

I have still not received my refund.
