Builders Warehouse managers try to intimidate their clients

Yesterday at 5.35pm I tried to seek assistance in the key aisle at Builders Warehouse Sunningdale. No staff. I pushed the "Help" button for staff at the desk. No reply. I tried to get assistance to buy a CCTV camera unit, again, no staff, despite walking around the surrounding aisles. I gave up. I walked down to the lighting department, looking for a security light. Again, no staff. I asked a security guard, she ignored me. I was directed then to the "Tevo" salesperson who said "irts not my dept" and then I walked up and down the lighting aisles looking for staff again. Eventually, I called to the cashiers sitting bored at the tills, and asked of they could call someone. I was ignored. I decided to call Builders Warehouse customer care line, and while on the call, manager Jacques Coetzer walked past me towards the Tevo aisle. While I was on hold with Builders Warehouse on the phone, Jacques walked right up to me, NOT OBSERVING SOCIAL DISTANCING, and said to me in a very loud voice, which I would have termed shouting, "Stop being RIDICULOUS !" He carried on shouting at me, even though I was on the phone laying a complaint. I asked him what his problem was. he was rude and trying to intimidate me by being confrontational and in my face, which I found extremely scary and offensive.

I walked away, as I was speaking to Builders on the phone. I took my towel rail, and went to go pay, as I still had no service for a light. Jacques then continued to follow me by the tills, asking me to get off the phone so he could further engage with me. I told him I wasn't interested in talking to him. His demeanor was one of superiority and arrogance.

I am now scared to go shop at that branch of Builders Warehouse without a witness. This is so shocking ads behavior from a manager. I am going to lay a formal charge against Jacques Coetzer, and should he ever try to exert this behavior against me, I will call the police. Builders should be embarrassed to employ such managers. This can all be corroborated with their CCTV footage.
