Builders Warehouse - Flawed business structure!! Terrible service, bad attitude, completely unreliable.

Worst service, and attitude, EVER! Complete lack of organisation or accountability. I work for a film production company that needed to make sure we have stock of their Bravo Gunmetal Spray paint with urgency. After going to all WC stores and buying all their sock I have laboriously attempted to make an order for 40 cans of spraypaint. This is how the process has gone: 1 )Call customer service, explain I want to speak to someone who I can make an order with - Get given an email address to place the order 2) Email the person, get told there is no stock and that I must order more from the supplier 3) Reply and inform them that I know there is no stock. I would like to order more from the supplier, and can they do that?! Get told no, I must call the store directly to order from them 4) Call North gate store, speak to 5 people (all who seem unsure of the product, whether they stock it, it's name, eventually have to give the barcode I luckily took a photo of, for them to look it up) before I speak to Bernine who takes all the information and says she will call me back. She then calls back, asks to repeat the barcode, confirms there is no stock (!) and says she will have to order more from the supplier. I confirm that that is what I would like to happen. 5) I hear nothing back from Bernine for a week so I chase it up with phone calls. I again speak to multiple people who keep transferring my call to someone who then says they need to transfer me to someone else - 5 times! Eventually I get to Apiwe who is managing the paint department who says he will transfer me to Uri, the Replenishment Manager - NO answer. 6) Call back to reception and ask for Uri's email 7) I email Uri explaining the whole situation and all the channels I've had to go through - No response, still to date. 8) 1.5 days after emailing Uri I go into the North gate store to speak directly to the manager. He first takes me to Apiwe, who tries to contact Uri and tells me they can get it in store in 4 working days. The Manager then eventually tracks down Bernine and she says she did place the order when I called 1.5 weeks ago, but it's going to take another 7 working days! because it has to come from Johannesburg. Yet she never called to confirm the order or to request payment but now requests that we pay before we collect instead of on collection. Which makes me doubt that the order was processed initially. 9) I send the proforma to our accounts who pays for the order by the very next day (after going in to the store). I am required to send back a tax invoice to our accounts. I email Bernine the proof of payment and request a tax invoice on the Friday - no response. 10) I email on Monday - no response - I call later on Monday, Bernine is not in I'm told. 11) I call on Tuesday to Bernines line - she picks up the call with no greeting and rests the receiver next to a key board (keep saying hello, all I hear is typing and background noise - wait for around a minute like that) call the mainline, get transferred to Bernine - same thing, answers call with no greeting, receiver placed next to keyboard. 12) Call back to mainline to explain that I don't know what to do, my emails and calls get ignored, I just need a tax invoice. They transfer me to the Constantiaberg store to help me. I speak to woman there, Shene, who they say can help, I email her the proof of payment while on the phone, says it didn't get to her, after checking her address multiple times and asking her to check spam etc. I forward it to her colleague - same story, not received. Both files are showing in my Sent Items. They then say they've been having problems with their system and will call back when they get the email. Nothing else can be done.

I am nervous that something will go wrong and we will not get our order in time as Builders Warehouse is so incredibly flawed and unreliable.

Every instance of dealing with Builders is beyond frustrating. This is just one interaction for one simple order. I have been in the store at other times to urgently get supplies to a Film Set and struggle to get someone to notice I would like assistance, forced to interrupt conversations and people bantering to ask for help and getting passed on to multiple people who send me to wrong isles, even walking me to wrong isles. Not knowing their products, which I have looked up online and know they stock, or how to retrieve store information. Being told they don't have an item, which they do in fact, have. Very poor organisation, laziness and lack of accountability.
