Builders warehouse display items no discount

Shopping for a garden water feature at the Boksburg branch we chose a fountain from the display. There was non in stock only the display one in operation. We decided to purchase the display item and were dismayed when they refused our request for a discount on the R2940 price tag due to it having run for an undetermined time and already having some green algae. The assistant assured me it was not their policy and refused to ask the manager. As we had been looking for a while for a feature and we had finally decided that was the one we had no choice but to buy as is be it a little disappointed especially then being charged a further R390 delivery. We would have been happy with just a free delivery offer.
