Builders Warehouse Cape Gate

So where to start?

I’m not usually the type of person to go on rants and bad mouth a company but Builders cape gate just makes you do strange thing.

For the past two months I have been waiting for a washing machine and after numerous calls, online chats, and empty promises still nothing has been done in me receiving the unite. They were quick to call me to inform me about the unite no being in stock and they will order one but then they were quiet. We started calling and online told us to wait for a call from Cape Gate but I shouldn’t worry as it was ordered according to the system.

So we waited, and eventually, we got a date for delivery (according to their web site) and so we waited and waited and still no washing machine had appeared. We called them once again and after waiting 30min on the phone they said that they will look into it. Then we found out that the washing machine that they said was ordered from the factory was In fact discontinued and that they will get back to us as to either an upgrade or replacement unite. So we waited and we waited, another week went by and still nothing had changed as the lady who was dealing with our order left a note and no one checked up on it. Later in that week after waiting a few more days we were finally able to get through to management which promised us that they unite we purchased would be arriving tomorrow and we could rest assured that everything will be made right.

I was so excited and felt so reassured that our washing machine would arrive that I took off so that I would be able to finally receive the unite, but alas I waited and called and we were assured twice that the item was shipped and we will receive it today… that washing machine that was assured to me did unfortunately not pitch as the driver felt that he would instead leave the last few parcels he had at the back of the truck for him to be in time to go home at 6. This means still two months later I’m still waiting for my machine to be delivered and I’m now out of a day’s pay.

If you ever consider to buy things online from Builders cape gate, beware as their aftersales attitude towards the customer sucks, don’t get me wrong there are a few good people who work there and in this week has helped us a lot but the systems they have in place for taking orders, placing orders and communicating with customers really needs some attention as I feel this situation could have been avoided and rectified a long time ago.
