Builders Warehouse - Buyer beware policy

I bought a Gas Hob from Builders, to be able to cook when loadshedding is happening, what I didn't know, is there are no gas fittings to match the hob. Goldair, Deft and Alv all have the same problem - no matching gas fitting. I went back to Builders (Strubens valley) and asked at the appliances "what do I do now?" They sent me to outdoors and I asked again, and apparently, they all know about this problem but don't warn the customers! It's Buyer beware - at your own peril! I took my problem to a manager - Patric - but no help there either. No offer of a refund of course - a problem connection/fitting is no reason for a refund and I had already cut out my new counter top to suit! So beware buying appliances from Builders, it might be a fair price but you cannot use it!!
