BUILDERS EXPRESS SOUTHGATE - BAD SERVICE

On the 9th of November 2017, my mother purchased a concrete washtrough from BUILDERS EXPRESS SOUTHGATE. A delivery arrangement was then made for Saturday 18 November 2017, one which was not adhered to by the business in question. When called to ask why they had not delivered on the arranged day, they said that they don't deliver on Saturdays, despite saying that they do and despite making an arrangement with my mother. Given the fact that mistakes are likely to happen, my mother granted the business a second chance to deliver and a new delivery date was arranged by my mother and BUILDERS EXPRESS SOUTHGATE - Tuesday, 21 November 2017 at 16:30. After leaving work early so that she could be present at the time of delivery, my mother was left disappointed when it was now 16:45 and BUILDERS EXPRESS SOUTHGATE had neither delivered the product nor explained why they were late. My mother then called them and the person on the phone said that they would come on Wednesday because they forgot that it was a Tuesday and a delivery needed to be made. After going back and forth with threats of coming to collect her money, my mother gave them yet another chance, as they promised to deliver within a few minutes. My mother had errands to run and after waiting for 15 minutes with no arrival of the product, she left and left me to sign for the product when it arrived. BUILDERS EXPRESS SOUTHGATE arrived 30 minutes later, with no apology for the inconvenience caused, instead the three workers that had come were complaining about how heavy the product was and how they couldn't put it where my mother had requested for it to be placed. Due to high levels of irritation, from a combination of bad service and purely a lack of manners from this business and their staff, I signed for the product and they left.

This morning when my mother went to go and check the product, something she was unable to do yesterday due to arriving late from her errands, she realised that BUILDERS EXPRESS SOUTHGATE delivered a damaged product. She recalls being presented with this very damaged product in store when wanting to purchase a concrete washingtrough, and had strictly said that she doesnt want that damaged one, a request that the people at BUILDERS EXPRESS SOUTHGATE ensured would be adhered to.

I am beyond disappointed, I am utterly disgusted at the way that this business treats its customers. A customer should never have to go through so much trouble for a product that they have paid for, to be delivered. A customer doesn't deserve the disrespect of a damaged product being delivered to them when that is not what they paid for. The fact that the staff is unprofessional and don't have a single ounce of manners in their body is exactly why this business deserves to be shut down. I am baffled how a big business FORGETS to deliver - that level of disorganisation is uncceptable. It is evident that BUILDERS EXPRESS SOUTHGATE were delaying the delivery process because they knew that they had sold the product that my mother paid for to somebody else. I, for one will NEVER associate myself with BUILDERS EXPRESS SOUTHGATE and possibly with any BUILDERS EXPRESS altogether and I will urge my family and friends to do the same. BUILDERS EXPRESS SOUTHGATE takes advantage of customers and their hard earned money. I am probably not the first to have a complaint of this nature and should this business not be held accountable for their actions, I certainly won't be the last.

We are looking into this and I will get back to you as soon as I have feedback.
