Builder's and their manager who doesn't want business

Builders warehouse is the most horrible place to shop at. I phoned the call centre yesterday, holding for very long, twice the operator pretended not to hear me, third time I was lucky, someone answered and tried to put me through to the branch, needless to say nobody bothered to answer the phone. I checked stock availability for an air cooler, no branches had stock except for New Market Alberton. They had stock in the white as well as the black. So I drove 30 minutes to get there only to be told by the lady who works in the relevant department, that there is no stock and it is always the problem at their store, they have spoken to the sales manager about it, but nothing gets done. I insisted on speaking to the manager. I told him that on the website it shows that they have stock and that I have driven all the way as they dont answer their phones (still reflects as having stock). I was told that he could order me one and I asked him why they don't put on the website that they don't have stock and he told me that nobody suggested for me to come to their store. How good is that? Builders are now doing carpets, selling fridges, etc. Maybe they have bitten more than they can actually chew. What poor service! "Nobody suggested you come to our store" - acting manager at New Redruth Alberton branch.

Hi Suanne,

Thank you for your feedback.

I'm sorry for the service you've received. This is certainly not what we want our customers to experience at our stores or when calling into the contact centre.

We will address the matter of out of stock items and the way you were treated by rectifying the behaviours to better our customer experiences.

We will be in contact with you as soon as we have feedback.

Regards,
Kurt
