Bribery by employees ? Even legal ?

On 22/10/2021 we went there to buy paint , the guy who helped us's name was Kevin , at first he didnt seem keen to help , after that he gave us a quote and we asked him was there any cheaper way , he said yes he can make a plan , he gave us R100 off if we gave him something in return so we laughed and told him no we thaught he was kidding .

We walked around looking for a few other items and then he said we have to come back after we paid so we did and he took paint so we went to look at the paint before he wanted to mix it .

He then kept on nagging and got aggressive in his voice about his "parcel" he was talking about he said cause he gave us a better price he demands something in return ! He didnt want to stop until we finally just walked away to get a whole return ! This is sick and we have been through 3 houses where we always supported them ! I am way to scared to that again . This is some other mind games being played by employees who dont understand business talk .
