Beware: Builders Warehouse online products is not as described - No assistance will be given.

Bought a Ryobi mulcher (Ryobi RGS 2540)machine from the online store as it was not available for in-store purchase.

The product on/off and safety switch was defective on the second time it was used.

The description further said that the machine can mulch up to 40mm diameter. In reality this is impossible as the machine has a plastic "guard" with an opening barely 40mm which makes it impossible to even put the smoothest and straightest branch, neverminded a slightly bent or sticks with tiny side twigs. Realistic, you will be mulching maximum 10-17mm twigs, as anything more will not work without a ton of hassle and anything more than 30mm will not work at all unless it is a perfect broomstick shape.

Took it back to builders on the 9th of April and they assured it will be collected on the following week Tuesday (12th).

Apart from the defect, they explained they will look into the description and whether it can do as advertised. I even offered to bring a branch less than this 40mm for them to show it works but they have not taken up this offer. And for the reason that they know they wont be able to demonstrate.

28th of April, I contacted the call center who informed me that apparently the machine is ready for collection since the 26th but they will contact me. No attention was given to the false description nor feedback given on it.

Still waiting for feedback and not satisfied with the product that cannot do the function or purpose it was purchased for and Builders have no intention of assisting.

This is poor form from both Builders Warehouse as well as Ryobi for false advertising.
