BE WARY OF ORDERING ONLINE
This has happened twice when ordering online with Builders Warehouse. I have paid for items (so, it doesnt say the item is out of stock and they gladly take your money), only to be advised a few days later (by the local Builders Warehouse near to oneself) that they dont have those items and will not refund you, but give you a credit note.
This is rather sneaky...i actually see said item has (LOTS) of stock of the item elsewhere in the country. They should either amend their website, so one doesnt get ******* into parting with their money, OR they should ship down said items from other stores that have an abundant supply.
Do better Builders!!

When an online order is cancelled due to no stock on our end, the funds go directly to your profile.
Which you can claim it in cash at your nearest builders' store, or we can refund it to your bank account you used to pay for the order.

12 Feb 2026, 12:05I was not told that on the phone. I said i would want a refund and they told me they only give credit notes!!! I will now show them your response to this...could you give me your position in the company please, thank you. For clarity...the online order should NOT go through to payment if you dont have stock...you need a better electronic system...or surely move the goods to other stores nationally?
