Bad experience

On the 5th or the 6th of Aug 2020, I bought a LG Washing machine from Builders Warehouse Zambesi, online. I did it from them as it was the only store near Centurion that indicated "1 in stock" in green letters. I did the transaction and all went well. The order indicated that it would be delivered on the 10th of Aug 2020. The ref number is ***. On monday morning the 10th we enquired when the delivery will take place. The first lady answering the phone said between 08H00 and 17H00 on monday. At about 13H30 I again had to phone the customer careline. I spoke to three different people, each time being cut of from the long period of waiting on the telephone. Eventually a lady by the name of Monica phoned me. At that stage I could not get hold of anybody at the store. 110 managers of all different kinds and not one see it of any value to phone me back. Monica said she will phone me between 08H00 - 09H00 today with some feedback as all the stores at that time was closed at 14H00 due to the holiday. This morning I again started to get some feedback. I managed to get to a guy (a manager of some sort with the cell number ***) that explained that they don't have any stock available. He said the only one in store is the one on display. I told him that he must understand that it is not part of my problems. My suggestion was that he get into his bakkie and go and get me one, from another store in any other branch in South Africa. We managed to eventually bargain this out by giving me a credit of R1650 for the display unit. He sent me photos on whatsapp and we made the deal. It took me the rest of the day fighting between him and the customer care guys to get it delivered to Centurion by 15H15. The guy (with the above cellnumber) phoned me and asked for my password to log onto my online account...? I did not want to do that, his reason being to do the credit he needs to log into my account. I have never heard of something like that. My problem is # 1 why do they sell something that shows in stock but is not? (I understand the concept of display units). #2 Why must I the customer have so much trouble in getting something on the day they said they will deliver. #3 Why are there so many managers but only one made the effort of phoning me back (department manager) and to my concern is that there are so many managers, what is the store manager's job description and why can I not get hold of him/her? Are they to special to speak to a customer? #4 The online experience was hassle free, but the service thereafter was terrible. #5 It was my first time buying something from Builders Warehouse, if you were me, would you buy there again? #6 How can we work this out? I feel the R1650 is really a small amount, I would suggest you credit my account electronically from your side, not through my personal password and account. I would like feedback from a person in a area management position please. Nico van der Merwe ***
