Available online, not in store

I was looking for the paint buddy and looked online. All stores in my vicinity were out of stock except Builders Warehouse in Kempton Park which had the item in stock. Upon my arrival, i was told they do not have the item and i logged on and checked on the spot, it still reflected the item is in store. The lady who assisted me then told me they are not responsible for the website as this is managed at head office. Secondly, he added that usually when there's one item available it means it is not in stock. This does not hold as all other stores i checked did say out of stock, not one item available. I even asked that they check in storage and I was told i am not the first one to come looking for the paint buddy.

I am not upset that the item is out of stock, I am upset that it was not indicated on the website and I drove 30km's to get to the store.
