Arrogant delivery staff on my premises from the Builders Express store in Herm****

NB❗It seems that Builders wants to flog off this case as yet another complaint by a customer, and do absolutly NOTHING about sorting out this issue, except empty apologies and promises for their seriously bad customer service and probably covering up for their staff member. I was intimidated on my property and saying 'sorry' doesn't cut it! Here's my story...

Yesterday I was disturbed by the fact that a delivery guy can be so rude, arrogant and impatient. I placed an online order for an ECO water tank on Wednesday, 9 September. I immediately received an email stating that the tank would arrive by Monday, 14 September, which is fair. Yesterday afternoon, I was surprised to get a call from the delivery guy, waiting outside my house with the tank loaded onto the truck. No call was made beforehand to check if I'm home and I had to stop what I was doing. Now I ask Builders Express, what a waste of time, effort and petrol that would have been if I wasn't home? Fortunately I was home. From that moment on, everything went wrong due to the impatience and arrogance of the driver and his colleague. I showed them the way to the back garden, which would be to follow the foot path. Twice they wanted to cut through my garden, after I explained that it's my garden bedding and it would damage the plants. They eventually followed the path to the back with the one colleague moaning huffing and puffing. I helped them as much as I could. The tank is NOT heavy. It took less than 2 minutes to move the tank to the back garden and so I could not understand why have so much attitude! After signing the invoice the driver accused me of buying a too big tank that they had to now carry to the back, and he was so rude and impatient, swinging his arms! I couldn't believe my ears. He kept on repeating, and shouting throwing his hands in the air over and over, 'you should have bought a smaller tank, a slimline and not this big one we must carry! '(2050 litre). The audacity!!! The tank is light. His arrogance was mindblowing! NB!: What concerns me most is that Builders would employ such rotten staff to deal with the public, and more importantly, inside my property, nl my personal space, where I should feel safe and secure! For this reason Builders should make the effort to employ delivery staff that are courteous, respectful and pleasant to negotiate with in the privacy of their customer's home, whether inside or outside the property! Never before have I experienced negative conduct from a courier service inside my property. What happened today was unacceptable and very stressful! Oh yes, and they dropped the 22kg water tank, rushing the job. Please take note of that too!

PS. The manager was polite and apologized, but I need for customers to be aware of what I experienced and that staff members don't get reprimanded for bad behaviour and conduct. So if the manager replies to this review please don't waste the time to explain that you have apologized. The staff should own up to their bad behaviour and pay the consequences, whether they belong to a union or not!
