Almost R8000 spent with Builders Warehouse Worcester, only to receive no service.

I purchased two interior barn doors worth R3000 each from Builders Warehouse in Worcester. Along with the purchase I selected the installation option as well which was R828 per door additional. I made the purchase online and upon confirmation & on my invoice it stated installation will be on the 16/7/2022 at 9am. I made sure I was available for the day for the installation.

At 9:30am there was no one. I then contacted Builders to check up if they are running late. I was told I will be put through to someone who can assist. The call was dropped on me. This happened twice where no one answered. I then tried again as I am sitting at home waiting. I was told they will contact me back. More than an hour later I was contacted back by Builders Sale Manager stating that they outsource the installer and that they should have contacted me. I advised them that no one has contacted me. Another two hours passed and finally I was contacted by Builders again stating that the installer will contact me. 30 minutes later the installer contacted me stating that Builders did not provide them with installation details.

After a lot of up and down it was 2pm and I still didn’t receive the service I paid for. I was told no one can assist me today. I then told the person I was speaking to that this was not my problem. On my invoice it stated when I need to be available for installation so I made myself available. I was told that installation can occur on Tuesday. I advised that this was not possible as I cannot take another day off to sit around and wait for an installer.

Extremely pathetic from Builders Worcester from the get go. Even when first contact was made in the morning a plan should have been made to insure the paid for service is provided but instead more than 5 hours later I am dropped after spending almost R8000.

I would love to know how the installation I paid for will occur when we are not home.
