2nd Class Service

I love builders Secunda except for their mostly **** and selective customer service by staff since it opened I go the Monthly they have a massive store with great products the garden section is my favorite,and the building material ( when they have stock) in the past 4 months I’ve been there more frequently as I’m busy building and I can deal with being completely ignored by staff while I walk around searching for whatever I want and I can deal with the slow service at the building material counter 5-6 staff member chatting or whatever while we wait but in the past week I have gotten terrible horrible devastating service I first bought building sand which I was told Had to be 2 loads meaning I had to pay 2 x delivery cost then my delivery was delivered after 5pm (as always ) then they only bring 1 load and I had to wait till the next day for the other load no apology no explanation just stupid calls from logistics “ reminding me they still owe me a load “ still no explanation no apology forget that it was inconveniencing me , then I bought roofing material on a Friday and asked for same day delivery which I was told was not possible (as always for me) and it would be done Monday I understood but I pleaded that the delivery had to be early due to possiblity of rain and that the builders had to put the roofing up or at least be able to pack it while they are still on the clock I further called the customer service early morning @7:58 the put me through to the shop I got transferred 3 times having to explain myself everytime from scratch then finally spoke to Mgadi who said she would check and call me back she did call back eventually but I missed the call and I phoned back only to get transferred 2 times again I eventually spoke to her and she told me the delivery will be done but couldn’t say when I explained that I needed the load early as I had requested on Friday but they just said it will be delivered I waited till 12pm and I phoned again and was told the delivery truck just left the store to bring deliveries I was satisfied until 14:34 and I was still waiting for delivery while my builders sat waiting i first called and was told the truck was on it’s 3rd load leaving the store but not to me!!!I drove to the store spoke to a Mgadi who dismissed me and came back with the manager Bongani and had to yet again explain myself he said the delivery would be done “during the day” at that time it was almost 3pm!! So either he was oblivious or thought I was stupid I explained that I needed the stuff early and anything after 3 would be too late my builders work till 4pm and it’s just me and my 62yr old mother I asked if the delivery could be cancelled till first thing the next day which he told me would not be possible he told me some bs about schedule and transport/road issues then he said if I cancel for the next day it would be “during the day” not early morning he apologized unsincerely and had a take it or leave it attitude I explained to him that I have never gotten good service when it comes to delivery and it always Always delivered after 5pm which is unfair I further angrily told him that just because I leave in the township doesn’t mean I get 2nd best service but pay a R270 delivery fee!! I admit he was calm but also very condescending I eventually had to take the **** service because it was too late and said the delivery must not be cancelled and continue as “scheduled “ whatever the hell that means service I got was the worst the fact that I had to take it or leave and except terrible service is horrible It makes me angry I did some more shopping (Lord knows why I keep giving builders my money) at 15:50 while in the store I was called that my delivery was leaving the store to be delivered so by the time they got there my builders had left and it was cloudy and my 62yr old mother all alone at home I had to spend R100 to buy plastic covering to cover the timber so it was protected from the elements especially rain and my mother had to scramble for plastic to prepare an area to place the delivery as it started drizzling the delivery was later in the day (as always) I have never received such disgusting service I never wanna go back to builders I might be the only way who gets such horrible service if so it says a lot about builders Secunda I have slips and delivery invoice I’m not just all talk I hate the service I have received and very disappointed in builders Secunda it’s unfair and unforgivable!!
